First cat painting

Here is a painting I finished earlier this year of two cats named Tango and Bandit. It is done on a 14" X 11" canvas panel. This is my first commissioned cat painting and it is also my first commissioned painting using a client's photos.

 

 

 

 

 

Another horse painting

This is just one of the paintings I had been working on for the past few months.

This is Daisy, an American Cream Draft horse, done in acrylics on a 20" X 16" stretched canvas.

 

 

I plan to add this painting to my gallery after it has been varnished (probably in the spring).

 

 

For the Boston Terrier fans

I just finished another Boston Terrier cartoon.

Here's another animal cartoon done with acrylic paint and colored pencils. This time it's Meanie #1, one of my pet chickens.

I used colored pencils on 80 lb. Strathmore drawing paper.

How about a cat?

I have just finished a colored pencil drawing of a kitten named Ollie. This drawing is a surprise gift for Ollie's owner. Ollie is the friendliest cat I've ever known, so I thought the owner ought to have a portrait of him.

 

Just thought I'd try something different

  Here is a 14" X 11" painting of a green frog I finished yesterday. I just wanted to try out the new canvas boards I got, and to paint something a little different. I actually had wanted to paint a frog for quite a while, and this close-up photo I took about two and a half years ago seemed like a good one to try to paint.
